Popping over from the Carnival. I only do cords (at my apartment because I'm cheap and at my parents' house because I don't want the headache of tech support) and if you go that route I would recommend 3M command hooks for the cord management. I used one every 1-2 feet depending on how it would look. I have my mom's office set up one floor up from the modem and - stupid newer construction - just drilling holes in the floor doesn't work in their new condo. It took a bit of time, rubbing alcohol, and patience but I ran the cord taught along the baseboards and it isn't very noticeable at all.
